Heygarth United Football Club

 

Guidelines for Dealing with an Incident/Accident

 

  1. Stay Calm but act swiftly and observe the situation. Is there danger of further injury

 

  1. listen to what the injured person is saying

 

 

  1. alert the first aider who should take appropriate action for minor injuries

 

  1. in the event of an injury regarding specialist treatment, call the emergency services

 

 

  1. deal with the rest of the group and ensure that they are adequately supervised

 

  1. Do not move someone with major injuries-wait ofr the emergency medics

 

  1. contact the injured person’s parent/guardian

 

 

  1. advise the club secretary as soon as possible

 

  1. complete an accident report form and submit it to the Club Secretary
